My Story
For over thirty-five years, I have walked the halls of public schools—first as a teacher navigating the complex rhythms of the classroom, and later as a consultant dedicated to systemic reform. My journey has always been driven by a singular question: how do we create environments where both educators and students can truly thrive?
I began my career in the heart of the classroom, witnessing firsthand the immense pressure placed on our educators. I saw brilliant teachers burnt out not by a lack of passion, but by a system that often prioritized metrics over humanity. It was during these years that I realized sustainable teacher retention isn't just about administrative policy; it's deeply rooted in the collective wellbeing of the school community.
Transitioning into educational consultancy allowed me to take these classroom insights and apply them to broader structures. I authored my latest book to serve as a roadmap for administrators and practitioners alike, bridging the gap between theory and the daily reality of school life. My approach is holistic, focusing on empathy-led leadership and actionable strategies for resilience.
Today, I continue to partner with districts to implement reforms that matter. Whether I am keynote speaking or conducting hands-on workshops, my goal remains constant: to humanize the educational experience and ensure that our public schools remain vibrant centers of learning and mentorship for generations to come.
